Meet Jinni, your Lulalu Lady for the month of February!  

Tell us about yourself!

Hi! My name is Jinni and I’m a software engineer by day, fashion blogger by night, and a struggler at fitting in all my interests within 24 hours! My biggest challenge has been dealing with imposter syndrome both at work and with my blog. Tech is a heavily male-dominated industry and I constantly hear phrases like, “she must’ve gotten an interview because she’s a diversity hire.” With that, you’d think it’d be a breath of fresh air to be a fashion blogger, but nope! Fashion is working towards race and size inclusivity, but still has a long way to go. Some days it’s a struggle to overcome imposter syndrome, but I’ve learned to stop comparing myself to other people, try to objectively look at how much I’ve achieved, and talk to others who understand the feeling.

How has shopping with Lulalu impacted your life?

Lulalu has changed my life because I finally have a bra that fits my unique body perfectly! I’ve been rock climbing for over 4 years now, which means that my upper back is huge and my proportions are unusual. The fit quiz told me to get a size 34AAA, which I was skeptical about (who’s ever heard of that size before?), but it ended up fitting me just right! I got the Delilah Cotton Wireless T-Shirt Bra and it’s so comfortable. I love that it can be worn under most things I own because it’s lower-cut, nude, and not bulky.

What is your favorite thing about the brand as a whole?

I love the simple, minimalistic styles and options. They’re perfect as an everyday bra! 

Any words of wisdom for other Lulalu Ladies?

When it comes to what you wear, comfort is KEY! Don’t get caught up in trends, sizes, or styles that don’t feel good on your body: I wear what I feel most comfortable and confident in so that I can go out and DO the uncomfortable. That’s what will leave a lasting impression!
